These events are enjoyable, informal and sociable with no prior knowledge of the films necessary and opportunities to gain insights into many different aspects of film via a combination of input, informal discussion and a variety of fascinating film clips.

Mr P’s Bar — FERRY LANE SOCIAL CLUB

Ozge Atez of Meze Turka will be providing us with 7 savoury meze dishes and Turkish baklava: 3 of the dishes are vegan and the rest are vegetarian. They are:

♠Saksuka: Aubergine, Potato, Charlston and paprika pepper in a rich tomato sauce (vegan)
♦Tarator: cooked carrot and potato in a garlic yogurt
♦Stuffed Vine leaves: rolled vine leaves stuffed with seasoned and spiced rice (vegan)
♦Lentil Kofte: seasoned and spiced red lentil and bulgur wheat balls in lettuce leaves dressed with lemon juice (vegan)
♦Mutabal: Aubergine, Tahini and garlic yogurt along with seasoning and spices
♦Cicik: Cucumber and mint in garlic yogurt
♦Kereviz kökü: Celeric, green apple and walnut in yogurt

When booking, there will be an opportunity to substitute any of them with an extra helping of one of the others and you will get a full ingredients list of each of them.
An e-mail giving booking information has been sent to members. Bookings will close at noon on Thursday 11th April.

Film & TV Quiz

Friday 5th April

at Mr P’s Bar — Ferry Lane Social Club (off King St)

7pm for 7.30pm start

 

Paul Thompson will host a quiz based around TV and Film

Teams of up to six people – come as a team or join up with others on the evening.

Entry £5 per person.

Drinks can be purchased from the social club bar.
