BAFTA

When you think of BAFTA, you probably picture celebrities, red carpets and shiny masks… But there’s a whole lot more to us than meets the eye!

Our five awards ceremonies aside (Film, Television, Television Craft, Children’s and Games), BAFTA also has a year-round Learning & Events programme that offers unique access to some of the world’s most inspiring talent through workshops, masterclasses, lectures, scholarships and mentoring schemes.

Videos, recordings and written articles from many of these events can be found on our learning and events channel, BAFTA Guru. This is our hub of content, bringing you closer to the people behind the films, TV shows and games that you love the most.

BAFTA is on a mission to inspire the next generation of film, TV and gaming talent and we’d love it if you’d get involved! Watch these videos; share them with other members of your film clubs/societies, post them on your websites, chat about them and let us know what you think!

With everything from Annual Lectures from the likes of Woody Allen and Oliver Stone; Ron Howard discussing film-making; Actors including Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hiddleston answering our ‘Big Questions’; And our Life in Pictures events which have attracted Hollywood stars such as Helen Mirren, Martin Scorsese, Meryl Street and Quentin Tarantino; To our technical masterclasses on hair and make-up, sound, editing, screenwriting and much, much more… there really is something to interest every film fan!

On the main BAFTA site you can visit our events page, telling you about the latest events happening up and down the country which you could be able to attend. This is also where you’ll find all the news on our ‘BAFTA shorts tour’, coming soon to a cinema near you.

You can follow all of our activities on FacebookTwitter and YouTube.
